I have been so busy lately between work, wedding and family that beauty and blogging has taken a bit of a back seat. So this is going to be just a mash up of stuff that has been going on lately.
This past weekend we did something that we’ve never done before. We got up and out of the house early on Saturday to participate in the Flavor Run. It is a 5k event where you can run, walk or stroll while being pelted with flavored, colored powder. I’ve always thought these events looked fun so we decided to try one. I also thought that Owen might enjoy it, although we found out after there is a bubble run which I think he would have lost his mind over. The kid loves bubbles.
After we showered and cleaned up from the run, we drove out to Orlando where Jason’s mom was staying for a week. We took a couple of days off to bring Owen out there and spend some time. One of the nights, Jason and I had a date night at the restaurant where we had our engagement party. Other than that we just hung out by the pool with family.
Is anyone else in love with Google photos Auto Awesome feature? I sure am. I just wish more of my photos would be auto awesomed. For those of you who haven’t heard of this, I believe it is just for Andriod users. My cellphone is a Samsung and all my photos get backed up to Google photos. (Similar to apple’s icloud service) A perk of this is that if your photos and videos meet a certain algorithm specified by google, then it is automatically edited. Sometimes it makes your photos into a mini movie, sometimes it a picture collage and sometimes your photos look like a painting. I just wish more of my photos were touched by google’s awesome hands. Here is an auto-awesome picture of Owen at the pool this past weekend in Orlando.
See, isn’t that amazing. Google automatically added the border, filter and blur effect. The is also Owen’s newest stance. Hands behind the back.
I hope everyone had a great week and I am hoping to have a better post next week. Have a great weekend!
